The economy has been tough on college students. The unemployment rate for 16 to 24-year-olds is 14.2 percent, that's nearly double the national average.
But a local moving company is looking to help students by giving them a job while they're in school and teaching them skills they'll need after graduation day.
"So hunk stands for Honest Unified Nice Knowlegeble Students," said Kye Pfutzenreuter.
College Hunks Moving is a business that's growing here in the valley.
"People see college hunks and it's a little bit of a unique name and they want to know what it's about," said Pfutzenreuter.
Despite the name, employees say the job isn't about looking good. It's about learning skills and how to run a business from the bottom up.
Along with the heavy lifting, workers learn about marketing and sales.
"they say, 'Hey we're going to give you that experience and you can learn and put it on your resume'," said Pfutzenreuter.
The valley franchise was started by a father and son team.
Along with moving services, the company doews junk removal, funiture re-arranging and donation pick-ups.
And just in case you were wondering...
"Yeah, we keep our shirts on the entire time, despite how bad it might smell," said Pfutzenreuter.
