About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, but for women under 50, death rates have decreased because of screening advancements.
Breast cancer screenings can be pretty costly but a valley organization is giving some women screenings for free.
Women 40 or older who are uninsured or unable to pay high medical prices could get a free breast cancer screening at the Phoenix Urban Expo on Saturday.
To be eligible, women must not have had a mammogram within this year and cannot be breastfeeding, pregnant or eligible for AHCCHS.
FOX 10's Anita Roman reports.
