Concerns about health safety are growing tonight. About 500 people have been told to evacuate. Officials are concerned with increased levels of a hazardous chemical.
The US coast guard and city of Paulsboro officials at nine p-m called for an evacuation of people who live within 12 blocks of Friday's train derailment site.

And it all stems from this wreckage which remains tonight from the incredible freight train accident that happened 7 Friday morning.

The national transportation safety board says one of the cars in the water leaked a chemical it was carrying called vinyl chloride.
Shirley Lewis who is evacuating now told us earlier in the day officials came to her door.
Environmental protection agency trucks are out in neighborhoods with workers taking air quality readings.
The coast guard says a crane will begin removing debris from the creek in the morning.
That should cause those chemical levels to go down.
