
Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a woman Tuesday when she tried to smuggling methamphetamine across the border.
When the 33-year-old woman of Puerto Penasco, Mexico, applied for entry at the Lukeville port of entry, a drug-sniffing canine alerted to the presence of drugs in her truck.
Officers then located $287,000 worth of meth in her truck -- 19 pounds.
The drugs and vehicle were seized. The woman was turned over to ICE's Homeland Security Investigations.
