Mixologist Chris Rouns with Searsucker Scottsdale came to FOX 10 to make Holiday Spiced Mulled Wine.
Holiday Spiced Mulled Wine
1 cinnamon stick
Peel of one orange and one lemon
1 cup of sugar
Fresh grated nutmeg
2 star anise
1 vanilla bean split and seeded
Juice of the one orange that was peeled
1 bottle of your favorite red wine
Bring to a boil for 4-5 minutes to make a syrup. Remove from heat and add one bottle of red wine to hot syrup and stir. Let sit minimum of five minutes to let the flavors marry then serve in mug with an orange twist and a cinnamon stick.
