PHOENIX (AP) - Gov. Jan Brewer is appointing new directors for the state Land and Insurance departments, but both appointees are familiar faces in those agencies.
Brewer's choice for state land commissioner is Vanessa Hickman, currently the deputy commissioner.
Brewer recently named Hickman to head the department on an interim basis to replace Maria Baier, who recently resigned effective later this week.
Brewer's choice for insurance director is Gerrie Marks. She has been the acting director since June.
