Friends and family gathered on Tuesday to remember a Paulding County pastor who was hit and killed by a charter bus while riding his bike last week. Andrew Pray was a minister at West Ridge Church in Dallas, and that's where his visitation and memorial celebration were held.
Pray was riding his bike along U.S. Highway 41 in Emerson when the bus hit him. On Monday, police charged 77-year-old George Carroll in connection with the death of Pray. They say he was driving the bus that struck and killed the pastor. Carroll is facing charges of second-degree vehicular homicide and following too closely.
About 1,500 people attended Tuesday's service in celebration of his life. Friends told FOX 5 Pray was always full of life, and he had a passion that was contagious. They said he would have wanted people to celebrate him instead of mourning his death.
