Authorities say the accident occurred just before noon Friday when a Honda Accord rear-ended a Jeep that was driving well below the speed limit on East Valencia Road. The Jeep flipped over the median into the eastbound lanes.
Driver William Brownlee of Tucson was killed in the Jeep and his 74-year-old male passenger had minor injuries.
The Honda's driver wasn't hurt.
Drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash. No citations have been issued.
