Members of the City Youth Association Gators Cheer Squad are trying to find a way to get the money to travel to a national competition.
PHILADELPHIA -
A cheerleading squad from Olney that has worked hard all year will have the chance to prove they're the best in the nation, but their biggest obstacle isn't the competition, it's the cost.
You don't have to watch very long to know the girls haven't just leapt straight to the top. Instead, they've put their hearts and souls into cheering.
They're the City Youth Association Gators Cheer Squad and they've done something this organization has never done before: cheer their way to the Pop Warner National Cheering Championships at Disney World.
But with some families struggling to put food on the table, the $600 needed for the trip just isn't something many can afford.
Many of these girls haven't even been out of the city.
But it's not the trip to Disney World that's driving them - it's the fact that they want to win and they say they know they can.
The 27 girls need $600 each for their trip and the window is closing, as the competition starts on November 30.

Not the prettiest Friday, but we're ready for a great weekend. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
