Police are investigating after a man's body was discovered inside a car in Clarkston on Tuesday. Authorities said it appeared the man had died of a gunshot wound.
The car was parked at the end of a driveway at an apartment complex off of Northern Avenue.
Phyllis Shorter said she found the car while searching for her nephew, 35-year-old Aaron James Robinson.
"We just rode around and then came down to the apartments and that's when we found his car with him in it in the back seat dead," said Shorter.
Lakesisa Robinson said her brother was last seen around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
Detectives are working to determine if the gunshot was self-inflicted or if the death is a homicide. His aunt said she thought Robinson might have been set up for foul play. She said he received a phone call and left home
"Because he was at home minding his business and he got a call and he left home and hasn't come back since," Robinson said.
Police are still piecing together the circumstances behind Robinson's death.
