Atlanta police say a mother and three children were hurt in physical altercation with a suspect in southeast Atlanta on Monday. It happened on Little Street, officers said.
According to investigators, the female suspect went to the victims' home along with another woman, and the pair was armed with a knife and a Club used for securing a car.
Police say the women left the house when they were asked to do so by the mother, but her children followed them to another location on the same street. They say the suspect got into a fight with the children, who suffered cuts in the altercation.
When the mother found out about the fight, she went to the scene, police say. She sustained a cut above her eye. Two of the children and the mother were transported to a nearby hospital for observation, though their injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
There's no word from police on what led to the altercation, and no arrests have been made. The mother's remaining children are now in the care of their grandmother.
