CAMDEN, N.J. -
Police in Camden say they are searching for two suspects who kidnapped a 32-year-old woman early Thursday morning, drove her to a remote area and then stole her electronic food stamps card.
According to Camden Police, the incident happened at 6 a.m. Thursday morning near the area of Broadway and Chestnut Street.
Police say the two suspects, a man and a woman, approached the victim while inside their car, grabbed her and pushed her into the backseat.
The woman was then taken to a remote area on Sycamore Street. Police say the suspects forced her to remove her clothing and then robbed her of her Family's First card and other items.
The suspects then drove to a Gulf gas station at Mt. Ephraim and Kaighn Ave., where police say they tried to use the woman's electronic food stamps card at an ATM inside.
While the suspects were trying to use her Family's First card, police say the woman got out of the car and ran away.
Police describe the male suspect as a black man approximately 30-years-old standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. Police say he had some facial hair, an unkept hairstyle and was last seen wearing a blue leather jacket with red and white stripes on the shoulders, blue jeans and brown boots.
Police describe the female suspect as a Hispanic or black female with light complexion, approximately 30-years-old and standing 5'5" weighing 120 pounds. Police describe her hair style as being afro-style. She was last seen wearing hoop earrings, a black leather jacket, blue jeans and black high healed boots.
