There's now a new way to fly out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The airport officially welcomed Frontier Airlines today.
Frontier is now the third major carrier to offer passenger service from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway. The inaugural flight arrived Thursday morning.
Frontier is the first airline to have regular flights in and out of Mesa as well as Sky Harbor.
"East Valley customers will have the ability to make connections to our largest hub in Denver, Colorado to 45 destinations nonstop and we hope you'll take advantage of the convenient connections," says Greg Aretakis, Frontier Airlines.
More than 3.8 million passengers have flown in or out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway since the airport opened in October 2007.
