Customs and Border Protection officers thwarted a drug smuggling attempt Saturday when they found pot concealed in a shipment of cucumbers.
More than 1,800 pounds of marijuana, worth nearly $777,000, were discovered.
Officers were working at the Mariposa Cargo Facility when they referred a 26-year-old Mexican National for an inspection of his tractor-trailer on his way into the States.
During an X-ray of the truck, officers noticed an anomaly. They then found 224 bundles of pot mixed in with the produce.
The driver was arrested and turned over to ICE-Homeland Security Investigations.
