We get a lot of sunshine in the valley, but on Nov. 13, the sun will disappear behind the moon in a total solar eclipse. The only way we can see it is live online and there will be plenty of web sites streaming the celestial event.
The eclipse will cast a shadow nearly 100 miles wide across the northern half of Australia.
A partial eclipse will be visible in New Zealand and the southern parts of Chile and Argentina.
