People in Surprise were shocked when a popular family owned restaurant was hit by burglars.
Police were called to Jim's Burgers and Eggs near Greenway and Cotton Lane early Friday morning.
Two armed suspects wearing ski-masks stormed into the restaurant, then assaulted and tied up employees before fleeing with cash. Authorities say the suspects were wearing navy blue hoodies and are only described as being tall.
Restaurant regulars voiced their concerns as they arrived to closed doors.
"Just to find out it's pretty crazy, especially to be tied up like that, it seems like Surprise and this area is pretty safe neighborhood and we usually don't hear about stuff like that," said Justin Buckelew, restaurant regular.
2 employees were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police are currently investigating.
