Police have arrested a 21-year-old man who they say sexually abused at least one girl.
Robert Kee June has been booked into jail on 1 count of unlawful imprisonment and 3 counts of sexual abuse.
In February of 2009, a 16-year-old girl reported walking down the street in the area of Highland and 53rd Aves when a male passed her. A few seconds later, the same male came up behind her and covered her mouth with his hands, court documents allege.
The suspect dragged her to an alley where he fondled her over her clothes, the report said. The victim fought him off and scratched him in the process.
DNA was taken from under the victim's fingernails, resulting in a hit in the database. Police identified Robert Kee June as the suspect.
Around this same time, there were two similar incidents in the same area and they were believed to be related.
Detectives were able to find and interview June on October 30, 2012. He denied any involvement in the crime.
However, he agreed to take a polygraph, which he failed. In the second round of questioning, June admitted he must have committed the offense and that he was probably intoxicated at the time, according to court documents. He said he doesn't remember the offense.
Bail was issued in the amount of $25,000.
