Man admits to starting arson fires in Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz. -

Chandler Police have arrested an 18-year-old man who they say is responsible for several arson fires that altogether caused about $84,000 in damage.

Police say that Nathan Enns set fire to a 6-car garage at the Coronado Crossing apartment complex. A 2012 Ford Mustang parked inside was damaged in the fire. The estimated cost of damage is $75,000.

Enns also allegedly set fire to a large City of Chandler plastic trash dumpster, worth $265, and a city park play structure, causing $5,146 in damage.

Officers say that Enns admitted to starting these three fires. He also admitted to other crimes that police hadn't started investigating yet.

Enns is facing several arson and criminal damage charges.
