A Scottsdale restaurant owner is giving graffiti artists now have a new canvas for their art.
Graffiti is usually forbidden and taggers can get into big trouble for tagging walls or other places in the community.
But in Old Town Scottsdale, the Brat Haus is opening their "wall" to graffiti artists.
"It's so hard to legally have graffiti on the walls, especially in Scottsdale, they have restrictive sign codes," said Dave Andrea owner of Brat Haus.
The restaurant and brewery, located off Scottsdale Road, offers taggers a big canvas, an entire wall in the courtyard.
****"Could be TAGGERS do a lot of work illegally, they can take their time, they are under time constraints because they don't want to get caught, so this allows them to express what they are doing and really show they are true artists," said Andrea.
Patrons can drink a brew or munch on gourmet food, like a kale salad, sliders or chicken and waffles, and watch an artist at work.
"We don't really put restrictions on them, the tag line is the art of swine dining," said BLANK*************
Andrea brings in a new local artist like every few months, the current tagger goes by Salty.
"It's really difficult to white wall over it after they spend time doing it, and it's so cool," said Andrea.
