PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona's voter registration numbers are higher heading into next week's general election.
The Secretary of State's Office announced Wednesday that Arizona now has slightly more than 3.1 million registered voters. That's an increase of more than 24,000 voters since the primary election in August.
Nearly all of the electorate is divided roughly into thirds, with 1.1 million Republicans, approximately 953,000 Democrats and about 1 million independents.
Members of the Libertarian, Green and Americans Elect parties account for about 1% of the electorate.
