PONTIAC, Mich. -- L. Brooks Patterson will be in the office for the first time Tuesday after being injured in a car crash in Auburn Hills over two months ago. The Oakland County executive plans to answer questions from reporters in the afternoon.
Patterson's driver, James Cram, was also hurt in the accident on August 10.
The other driver involved in the crash, 31-year-old Anthony Prainito of Royal Oak, was charged with three counts of a moving violation causing serious impairment, a misdemeanor, nearly two weeks after the accident.
Patterson was ticketed for not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and quickly paid his fine.
Fox 2 previously reported that Patterson broke his hip, leg, ankle, five ribs and both wrists. He was hospitalized for several weeks and was to undergo physical therapy.
Patterson is up for re-election this November.
