Missing Mesa teen found safe | Zachary Daniel Moore

Mesa Police searched for a 16-year-old boy who ran away from his school on Thursday and may have wanted to hurt himself.

On Monday morning, Sgt. Tony Landato of the Mesa police said Zachary Daniel Moore was found.  He is safe and at home. 

Zachary Daniel Moore was last seen around 9 a.m. Thursday at Westwood High School, located at 945 W. 8th Street.  He was wearing a gray hoodie with stripes, shorts, skater shoes, and carrying a red backpack.

Authorities believed Moore traveled to the area of Country Club and Brown where he ditched his cell phone.

Since Moore's last text message stated he was "done" and that he wanted to harm himself, he was believed to be suicidal.  In the past he received treatment for depression and cutting himself.

No further details about the case were released.
