Do dating and the economy go hand-in-hand? A new survey shows singles are relying on coupons to wine and dine their first dates.
The website couponcabin.com asked 2,300 people about whether or not they used a coupon on a first date.
More than a quarter of them said yes, and that same number people said that's ok, they're not offended when a prospective suitor pulls out a Groupon or Living Social coupon.
But one person commented that using a coupon on a first date is like asking for a doggy bag -- saying it ruined the atmosphere.
We asked people on the street how they felt about this idea.
