MILFORD, Mich. -- A new film called "Golden Shoes" is being shot here in Michigan. It stars Vivica Fox and Dave Deluise. For the most part, there is an all local crew with some people who have flown in from Los Angeles.
Producer Norman Koza clued me in on some of the storyline.
"It's about... a little boy whose father is in the military, goes MIA. The mom hears the news that her husband's MIA, presumed dead. She gets in a car wreck. We don't want to give away the whole story, but now this little boy's got to go live with his neighbor, so that's where a big part of the bullying comes in," said Koza. "The movie's very inspiring, and it's going to be a great story. We've got a huge cast."
"The story covers all the current events that (are) going on in our country, politics, the war, economy, and also about a kid who finds a way to inspire not only his team and his city, but an entire nation. It was written because of this story that was given to me by Norman Koza. I fell in love with the idea of it. It took me a year and a half to finish the screenplay, and here we are," director Lance Kawas said.
Now I've had the chance to act in this movie myself, but it wasn't much of a stretch. They wanted me to be a reporter, so I played myself following the war and then this young soccer player.

Detroit ditto heads rejoice. Your leader is interested in news in Detroit, at least enough to qualify a report on a large Powerball jackpot as more proof that 'low-information outreach' is working.
