Police Call Off Search For Victim Of Hit-And-Run

EVESHAM TWP, N.J. -

Police in Evesham, New Jersey say they are calling off their search for the victim of an apparent hit-and-run.

Investigators say forensic evidence from a car pulled over earlier this week has been sent to the New Jersey State Police laboratory for analysis.

Police say they used ATV patrols, canines, heat cameras and even helicopters in their search.

The search began after a car was pulled over Tuesday night along East Main Street near Knox Boulevard in Marlton, New Jersey.

Police say officers noticed significant damage to the car's front passenger section that was consistent with it hitting a person.

The driver, an 81-year-old Cherry Hill resident, recalled hitting something but wasn't sure what. Investigators say they are requesting the driver be retested for his driver's license.

If you have any information, you're asked to call police at 856-983-1116.
