Wind, rain and even hail moved into the valley Thursday night, dropping temperatures.
Hail pounded onto homes in Fountain Hills, thunder boomed and lightning strikes illuminated the valley sky.
ADOT cameras show rain coming down in Tempe at Loop 101 and Southern. It's our first autumn storm.
So far, the heaviest rainfall has been over the Sunflower burn area, which has received 1/2 to 1 inch of rain. A flash flood warning is in effect there until 9:30 p.m.
Low pressure will move though the Phoenix area, bringing wind and much cooler temperatures on Friday. Afternoon highs on Friday will be 10 to 15 degrees below normal.
As high pressure returns this weekend, normal temperatures will too.
