PHOENIX (AP) - A Tempe man and his wife have pleaded not guilty in the murder of the man's business partner who body has not been found.
Thirty-3-year-old Chad Norris pleaded not guilty Monday to second-degree murder and his wife, 31-year-old Tamara Norris, pleaded not guilty to felony hindering.
The couple were arrested in September for their alleged roles in the murder of 45-year-old Jason Johnson.
Arrest records show Johnson and Chad Norris co-owned an auto-body shop in Tempe.
Investigators learned there was some kind of confrontation between the two.
Investigators kept surveillance on the couple who were seen leaving their home with a trailer that they later abandoned in Phoenix.
Investigators obtained a search warrant and found inside the trailer blood, spent shell casings and a wallet that contained Johnson's driver's license.
