Man Dies After Society Hill Wedding Brawl Caught On Tape

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

It's a nightmare most brides could never imagine – a wedding brawl that ends with several guests in handcuffs and one man dead.

Cell phone video captured all of the mayhem over the weekend in the lobby of the Society Hill Sheraton. Several wedding parties were staying at the hotel Saturday night.

Wedding guests say two brothers got into a fight. Something was thrown and it hit another person. That's when the chaos erupted.

Guests who were asleep in their rooms heard the loud commotion around 2 a.m., looked down and saw the scene.

Max Schultz captured the video. He and his family were in Philly to sightsee for his 15th birthday.

"People punching, cops coming in, trying to restrain people – it was unbelievable," the teen said. "I saw they put some people in handcuffs on the main lobby."

Max watched police pulled a woman, who appears to be out of it, out of harm's way, then another woman hit a cop from behind. Just a few feet away, several police are seen hitting a man with their batons. The man appears to be putting up a decent fight himself.

Outside the hotel, a bride can be seen running down Old City's cobblestone streets in her gown after an ambulance.

An uncle of one of the brides suffered a heart attack and died, despite numerous attempts to revive him at the scene and at the hospital. He is identified as Vincent Sannuti. Relatives say it was his 57th birthday.

Several other wedding guests ended up in the emergency room.

Three landed in jail. We're told two were arrested for disorderly conduct and the third for assaulting an officer.

Now, instead of going on a honeymoon, one Bucks County bride and her new husband will be going to a funeral.

FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito has more details in this video report.
