A Peoria church, built more than 100 years ago before Arizona was even a state, has now been added to the National Registry of Historic Buildings.
Early settlers in the west valley laid the first bricks for the church in 1899. That made this small house of worship worthy of preservation.
They are now eligible for a grant to make upgrades to the interior.
