Tempe Police have made an arrest in 6 armed robberies, taking place over four days from Sept. 24 to Sept. 28.
Police say Gabriel Bedoy, 28, entered six stores carrying a semi-automatic handgun and forced the clerks to give him money.
Police say Bedoy is responsible for robberies at:
- Subway located at Alma School and University in Mesa (09/24/12) - Shell Gas Station located at 2180 E. Broadway in Tempe (09/25/12) - Little Caesar's located at 1151 W. University in Mesa (09/27/12) - Subway located at 1332 S. Country Club in Mesa (09/28/12) - 7/11 convenience store located at 1310 E Broadway in Tempe (09/28/12) - Little Caesar's located at 711 E. Broadway in Tempe (09/28/12)
In each case, the suspect would flee the scene in a getaway vehicle. Evidence obtained from the crime scenes helped identify Bedoy as the suspect, according to police.
Bedoy was apprehended while driving the same vehicle used to commit the robberies, and allegedly admitted his involvement to police.
He is facing charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
