SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - The last of 4 new family neighborhoods to be built at Fort Huachuca as part of a base housing privatization project is nearly complete.
The Sierra Vista Herald reports (http://bit.ly/SJvW53 ) the base celebrated the completion of more than 200 new family housing units earlier this week.
The homes replace others from the 1950s and '60s that were torn down.
The homes are for military personnel of all ranks and the first one was dedicated to junior enlisted members. R.L. Workman Homes built 140 homes and Castle & Cooke built 61.
