PHOENIX (AP) - Public and private economists weigh in on the state of Arizona's economy on Thursday as legislative budget analysts evaluate Arizona's fiscal health.
The economists serve on the Finance Advisory Committee. That group provides input to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee staff.
The budget staff uses analysis by the economists as one element in preparing a state revenue forecast that largely hinges on economic projections.
A revenue forecast is a key element in writing a new state budget - a duty facing legislators when they report in January for their 2013 regular session.
