TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a suspect is in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a Tucson bus stop.
Tucson police said Wednesday that 21-year-old Eric Jones already was in the Pima County Jail for an unrelated offense.
He's now being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police say 41-year-old Robert Chance was shot Monday afternoon and taken to a Tucson hospital, where he died.
They say Jones was arrested hours later for allegedly driving a stolen car.
Police say a handgun was found on the driver's seat of the car and detectives have determined that it was the weapon used in the homicide.
They say Jones has a lengthy violent criminal history that includes aggravated assault on a police officer. Police didn't immediately know Wednesday whether Jones has a lawyer.
