A puppy who was thrown out of a window of a moving car is doing well and went up for adoption Wednesday.
The 10-week-old Labrador retriever mix named Mio was adopted from the Arizona Humane Society by Ashleigh Adams.
"She's definitely super cute and then her story was very sad so we just want to give her a good home and a loving family. She does not want to sit still right now!" exclaimed Adams.
Mio and another puppy were inside of a bag, thrown out of a car in the Queen Creek area. A Good Samaritan saw the bag move, and pulled over to find the two puppies. The person gave the puppies to two different people.
Mio was taken to an emergency vet before heading to Arizona Humane Society's Second Chance Animal Hospital.
The pup had head trauma resulting in blood in the eyes as well as an injury to the lungs. Fortunately, she didn't receive any fractures or lacerations and was able to make a full recovery in less than a week with pain medication, observation, and plenty of rest.
AHS does not know what happened to the second puppy or have a description of the vehicle from which the puppies were thrown.
