25 busted for underage drinking at Speedworld

An undercover operation at Speedworld in the northwest valley has netted 25 criminal underage drinking citations.

Responding to citizen complaints, MCSO deputies went undercover at the Speedworld motorcross racetrack this weekend.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio said his office issued 25 criminal drinking citations, arrested 6 people on warrants, 5 for DUI, 2 for drugs and 15 for civil traffic violations.

"Underage drinking is a serious problem and somebody out there is obviously selling alcohol to these kids. We're going to find out," Arpaio stated.
