GLENDALE, Ariz. -

A police pursuit in Glendale was caught on dash cam video, and this one ended with the suspect barricaded inside a stranger's home.

Glendale Police say it happened July 23 at the intersection of 67th Ave and Hillcrest. The suspect allegedly crashed his cars into the trees and made a run for it -- and when he came back to the scene of the crime, he was spotted by an off-duty Phoenix Police officer.

The suspect punched the officer in the throat and then fled a second time.

Dash cam video shows officers trying to apprehend him.

"He comes up to the Arcadia door like he was going to try and come in the house," said resident John Sharp. "So I met him at the door, put a gun in his face, told him to get on the ground and he backed up and turned around and ran."

Sharp was one of several neighbors who called 911.

Sgt. Brent Coombs said 23-year-old Charley Mora was finally arrested, but only after he assaulted 2 uniformed officers and locked a man out of his house.

"We've had a homeowner who comes out to see what all the commotion is about, and he's got a wife and three children inside of his home. Our suspect Charley Mora comes out from behind a bush and runs into his house and locks the door behind him," said Sgt. Coombs.

That same dash camera caught Mora apologizing to police. He can also be heard telling officers he doesn't blame them for Tasering him.

As for the homeowner's wife, she says that as she was calling 911, she was using her cell phone as a weapon to hit the suspect.
