PHOENIX (AP) - Saturday visits to Maricopa County's Lower Buckeye Jail have been cancelled as the sheriff's office conducts a search for weapons and other contraband.
A sheriff's news release says about 150 deputies and volunteers will search the 2,400 bed facility in south Phoenix.
A similar search of the sheriff's Fourth Avenue Jail last month led to the discovery of several homemade knives.
