Luke AFB to conduct exercise Thursday

Posted: Updated:
GLENDALE, Ariz. -

West valley residents won't need to be alarmed if they hear explosions -- because Luke Air Force Base is holding some training exercises.

Explosives will be a part of the 56th Fighter Wing's training on Thursday, Sept. 27.

LFB officials say community residents and visitors to the base should expect traffic disruptions, possible gate closures or delays, and interruptions of customer-service operations.

People may also see explosions, smoke, emergency responders, helicopters and role players depicting injuries.
