License plate of stolen Cadillac EscaladeA man was pulled out of his sport utility vehicle and shot late Thursday night, near 35th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
Police said 33-year-old Arnold Monroy was pulled out of his SUV, shot, and killed, in the driveway of a home in the 3000 block of Encanto Boulevard.
Monroy drove to the home to pick up a friend and shortly after he pulled into the driveway, three armed suspects told him and his passengers to get out of the vehicle, police said.
The suspects left in the victim's SUV. The white 2005 Cadillac Escalade was recovered a few blocks away.
Monroy was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police said the 20-year-old man and 22-year-old man in the SUV with Monroy weren't hurt.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19 to 25-years-old, 6'0", 230 lbs., wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt and long shorts.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 19 to 20-years-old, 5'8', 215 lbs., wearing a red short-sleeved T-shirt and white gym shorts.
The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20's, 5'8", 250 lbs.,
wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt.
