A woman was found dead in an alley and police are asking for the public's help piecing the investigation together.
Phoenix police officers were called to do a welfare check on the woman found in the alley shortly before 9:30 a.m. Sept. 16th near 38th Lane and Monte Vista.
"They arrived and discovered she was deceased and appeared to be the victim of a homicide, due to signs of trauma on her body," said Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
She was identified as 21-year-old Jessica Vidal. There are no suspects at this time -- the only information police have to go on is that a witness saw a black 4-door sedan in the area where the body was found.
On Sept. 25, police released a composite sketch of an individual detectives would like to speak with.
