White Sox, Cubs Facebook pages hacked

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox were among at least nine major league baseball teams whose Facebook pages have been hacked.

In some cases, existing content was replaced with status updates ranging from mildly amusing to downright vulgar.

Deadspin.com reports that in the case of the White Sox, President Obama's favorite team, its Facebook page purported to endorse Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The Cubs post ripped Bill Murray with a four-letter word.

The messages were quickly removed, and most of the teams posted notes explaining that they had been hacked.
