(WJBK) -

Thousands of mothers, fathers and caregivers from Michigan will gather in Lansing Wednesday at 10 a.m., to be part of the Million Mothers March.

The event celebrates breastfeeding mothers, and encourages all parts of our society to support mothers who choose to breastfeed.

Click here to learn more about the event.

Dr. Paula Schreck, M.D. is the medical director for breast feeding support services and the St. John Hospital outpatient breast feeding clinic.

This amazing community gathering has been planned entirely by volunteers with the group, Breastfeeding Mothers Unite.
