Emmy and Edward R Murrow award-winning journalist, Jill Monier, is thrilled to be back in the Southwest.

Jill joined the FOX 10 team in June 2012.

She comes to us from FOX 13 Memphis where she was the weekend anchor.

During her six years in Memphis, Jill was nominated for six Emmys, winning one for an investigative report where she uncovered corruption in a small Arkansas town.

Recently, Jill was honored with a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for reporting on the shooting death of two West Memphis police officers.

Over the course of her career, Jill has covered major national news stories including the Columbia Shuttle disaster, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the 2008 Presidential debates.

She's gone to death row to interview inmates Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three and Jessie Dotson, who was convicted of Memphis' worst mass murder.

Before moving to Memphis, Jill was the weekend anchor in Decatur, Illinois.

She started her career in at KBIM/KRQE in Roswell/Albuquerque, New Mexico where her reporting prompted a federal grand jury investigation of a company accused of hoarding illegal warheads.

Jill graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Spanish.

She's originally from Princeton, Illinois.

Jill and her husband Nick have two little girls that keep them very busy.

She and her family couldn't be happier to be calling Phoenix home and are looking forward to checking out all the pro teams!
