Hundreds of young baseball players gathered at Maheras Gentry Park on Detroit's eastside to kick off a new season. The girls and boys range in age from 4-18. They'll participate in baseball, softball, t-ball, and coach pitch. The diamond sports program is sponsored by longtime supporter, the DTE Energy Foundation. This year, the t-ball and coach pitch leagues are sponsored by the Detroit Tigers Foundation's Tiny Tigers Program. Orchards Children's Services has also contributed to the diamond sports program.
Think Detroit PAL's diamond sports program includes 1400 girls and boys. Call (313) 833-1600 or click HERE to learn more.
Think Detroit PAL was formed in 2006 with the merger of Think Detroit Inc. and the Detroit Police Athletic League. Think Detroit PAL serves more than 10,000 girls and boys through 10 sports, making it one of the largest youth organizations in the state of Michigan.
