PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities are trying to figure out what led to a missing Arizona comedy club owner turning up dead in a hotel room.

The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office is scheduled to conduct an autopsy Friday on the body of 60-year-old Mark Anderson.

Anderson was found at a Days Inn in Buckeye by a housekeeper Wednesday.

Buckeye police say Anderson's room was last cleaned two days before the discovery of his body.

He was reported missing May 15, three days after he reportedly left Oklahoma City to travel to Phoenix or Dallas to do business.

Anderson had homes in both Arizona and Oklahoma.

His club, the Tempe Improv, closed on June 1 after a 23-year run. Anderson also owned clubs in other cities including Washington, D.C.
