Supporters stand behind Lilly Washington

A valley woman returned home after visiting her son in Germany to find her home empty. The bank foreclosed on her home, and her belongings were gone.

Other homeowners are now coming together to support her.

Washington's story has rattled many people in the valley, and they're worried the same thing could happen to them. The group LUCHA (Living United for Change in Arizona) gathered outside her home in support -- and they want to get the attention of elected officials to help struggling homeowners like Washington.

Washington's home was foreclosed on back in 2010, and Bank of America says the title was transferred to Fannie Mae.

Washington says she was fraudulently foreclosed on by B of A, and that they said they would work with her on a loan modification and wait for her to return from Germany.

But when she got back, all of her possessions were gone, and the locks were changed. That includes her son's Purple Heart.

It's probably under tons of trash in the dump now, she says.

Well, B of A says they have no record of any correspondence with her.
