One more thing, about what's going on down in Springfield.
The Illinois legislature has until midnight tomorrow to make a decision on the budget.
Meanwhile our state is broke. And I think I know a big reason why. Take a look at all the Illinois state agencies.
Everyone who works at these agencies gets salaries, medical coverage, and pensions. Your tax dollars at work.
Some of these agencies have sub agencies under them. Do we really need all of them?
If we looked really closely don't you think we could find some redundancies here. Maybe make a few consolidations here and there.
Governor Quinn: do you know about all these Illinois agencies? I saw something on this list called "economic recovery commission." How much money does that cost the state? Would we be a step closer to economic recovery if we didn't have the economic recovery commission?
And on and on it goes.
