KSAZ TV – Electronic News Gathering (ENG) Editor

Edit ENG material for various newscasts under specific time constraints using state-of-the-art, non-linear editing equipment.  Must have a working knowledge of AVID Newscutter and/or Adrenaline system(s).  Must be able to work in a graphics-intense, high-production value news environment.  Familiarity with AVID Interplay, NRCS, Capture Manager, AVID Access and iNews a plus.  Weekends, holidays, on-call and varied hours req.  HS diploma or equiv req. Electronic news gathering position that requires both editing and/or videography.  Applicant must possess basic photography, lighting, audio and computer skills.  Understanding of different camera/media formats required.  Live ENG remote experience, including ENG truck operation and field editing a plus.  At least one year on-the-street TV news ENG/Videography experience required.  Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced news environment. Duties:  Maintain and improve existing client list, generate new business on FOX and MyNet duopoly stations and websites to generate significant revenue and achieve sales budget. Proficient negotiation skills utilizing NSI LPM ratings and qualitative info., strong written and oral communication and presentation skills req.  Requirements: 4 yr College degree or equivalent media sales experience in a  major market pref. Major network affiliation pref.  Proven success with generating and maintaining new business and experience with major sports programming sales. req.  Prior exp with WideOrbit and OneDomain pref. Candidate must be detailed oriented, resourceful, team player, reliable and a self-starter. Must have or be willing to obtain and drive reliable transportation and have a valid AZ driver's license.
