Wind Advisory in Effect in Phoenix

A dust storm blew across the valley Tuesday afternoon, reducing visibility as a cold front approaches from the north.

A blowing dust advisory was allowed to expire at 9 p.m. Tuesday. A wind advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Gusty winds will continue to blow overnight and Wednesday.

Sustained wind speeds between 30 and 40 mph are expected.

Travelers are urged to use extra caution.
