Rain Brings Potholes, Pain to Drivers

PHOENIX - Has your drive around town been a bit bumpier than usual? The giant potholes can be a pain in the neck for drivers, and sometimes downright dangerous.

You can blame the potholes on all the rain we've had. So what's being done to patch up the roads?

The city of Phoenix is trying to stay ahead of its pothole problem. Crews have been plugging potholes every day, patching them with an asphalt sealant.

On average, Phoenix fills about 30,000 potholes a year.

We all try to avoid potholes, but if you can't, and you car has damage, in some cases the city can be held responsible.

The city of Phoenix says they usually repair potholes within 24 hours after they're called in.
